Lockheed Martin to Manufacture 4 F‑35C Carrier Variants for US Navy
The U.S. Navy has awarded Lockheed Martin a contract valued $360.8 million to manufacture four F‑35C fighter jets.
The modification contract provides for the procurement of four F‑35C Carrier Variant Lot 14 aircraft for the Navy. Work is expected to be completed by May 2023, Pentagon said in a release Monday.
The company also won another deal valued $67.7 million to procure long lead materials, parts, components and support necessary to maintain on-time production and delivery of nine lot 16 F‑35A Lightning II aircraft for the government of The Netherlands, as well as seven F‑35A semiconductors and two F‑35B Lightning II aircraft for the government of Italy.
Work is expected to be completed by May 2025.
